Farm school report to the Octoraro Farmers' Club, 1861 June 15.

Thomas Wood, secretary of the Octoraro Farmers' Club, reports for members (himself, Ellis Coates, George Palmer, Warrick Coates, and Joshua Wood) of the committee appointed to visit the Farmers' High School of Pennsylvania. He describes the countryside between Penningtonville and State College, and Bellefonte to Mifflintown, Pa., particularly the crops growing, soil conditions, and availability of water; evaluates and criticizes the buildings, facilities, and land of the Farmers' High School; and describes the inspection of Farmers' High School trustee H.N. McAllister's farm near Bellefonte.
